The Decoding Dyslexia Iowa Educator Conference is geared towards educators, AEA professionals, and school administrators who are working in Iowa schools.  Topics and speakers will be directed to that audience. However parents, homeschoolers, tutors, school board members, legislators and any other community members interested in the conference sessions are welcome to attend.  If you are not an educator, please review the schedule and sessions to make the event will meet your expectations.

Our educator conference is designed for those whose knowledge of dyslexia and the science of reading is beginner to intermediate. If you have never attended a dyslexia training before, or if you have some training and would like to deepen your knowledge, this event is for you. If you hold an advanced degree or endorsement in dyslexia or the science of reading, you may find the conference content to be a review.  Please view the session descriptions to be sure the event will meet your needs and expectations.

Based on substantial feedback from previous conference attendees, we are offering single day registration for this year's conference and are not offering license renewal credit.

Yes! If you are an undergraduate college student, you are eligible to register using our special student rate of $50 per day. Please note this rate is not available for graduate students. Proof of undergraduate status may be required at event check-in.

Although we accept purchase orders, our preference is for payment to be made via the Eventbrite registration site.  If your organization would like to use a purchase order, please email Nicole Pizzini at nicpizzini@gmail.com.  Please note there is a $50 processing fee for all purchase orders.  Purchase order balances must be paid in full by October 12th, 2026 or a $100 late fee will be applied. Purchase order are not accepted after October 12th.

Each conference registration includes a hot buffet lunch, beverages, and snacks.  Gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan choices will be available.  Breakfast is on your own.  You may bring outside food and beverages into the venue.

Decoding Dyslexia Iowa recently held a virtual parent conference consisting of 16 sessions on a variety of topics, including dyslexia evaluations, advocating at school, homeschooling, technology, and more.  On-demand tickets to view the session recordings are available.  Watch our Facebook page and website for future parent events.
