Q:  The conference is sold out, but I really wanted to attend.  Will there be more tickets?

Please join the wait list as soon as possible.  If any tickets become available, they will be offered to indivduals on the wait list in the order they were added.

Q:  I am a teacher.  How do I get license renewal credit?

Educators who attend the full 2-day conference can earn 1 license renewal credit through Heartland AEA.  To receive credit, visit the course listing in Heartland’s professional development catalog and follow the prompts to purchase the license renewal credit.  The fee is $35 and is paid directly to Heartland.  Please note that you will not be able to make the actual purchase until the first day of the conference.  Additional requirements for license renewal credit are outlined in the course listing and include 100% attendance on both days and a written assignment.  These requirements will also be distributed in writing at the conference.

Q:  Can I attend for only one day?

We are unable to accommodate requests for single day pricing.  You may register for the conference and choose to attend only one day, however the full registration fee applies.  If you only plan to attend one day, please send us a message below and let us know your plans. Educators who attend one day will not receive license renewal credit, as that does not meet Heartland AEA’s requirements.

Q:  Is this conference appropriate for parents and homeschoolers, or just teachers?

Yes!  The conference offers a diverse selection of session topics which are appropriate not only for teachers but also for parents, homeschoolers, tutors, school administrators, school board members, legislators and any other interested community members.

Q:  I want to attend the conference, but these dates don’t work for me.  Will you offer this event again?

We do not have plans to repeat this lineup of speakers in the near future.  However, we organize a variety of dyslexia-focused events for parents, teachers and/or kids each year.  The best way to learn about our upcoming events is to like our Facebook page and visit the main Decoding Dyslexia Iowa web site to sign up for our newsletter.

Q:  Will you have space for nursing mothers to pump?

Yes!  The FFA Enrichment Center offers several spaces for this purpose.  If you would like to utilize a pumping space, please send us a message below so we make these arrangements and provide you with further information.
